Search engine optimization (SEO) is the buzz word of the day. In short it involves design and writing skills that increase your web search results. Here are a few basics:
1. Keep your pages short. Long drawn out dissertations tend to veer off topic and cause search engines to clog up.
2. Stay on topic. If your subject is building kites, don’t get into wind disturbances.
3. Key words. Make sure that within your content you include your keywords. Don’t just stick them in haphazardly, as search engines will pick up on spamming.
4. Put keywords in post title. When you post your page on kite building, make sure kite building is in the title. Don’t call your post, “thoughts on wind utilization”.
